Organization becomes Habitat for Humanity of Fayette & Franklin Counties after 40 years of service in Lexington

Fayette & Franklin Counties face two of the largest housing supply gaps in the state.

esmeralda's story

Esmeralda purchased her Habitat home in 2007. This fall, she submitted her final mortgage payment.

 

Affordable homeownership allowed her to pursue another dream: she now owns and operates her own food truck.

"My passion is the food, the kitchen. Always. Since I was nine years old."
